Praying mantises do not become blind from light. In fact, they have very good vision and are able to see in a wide range of light conditions. Their compound eyes allow them to detect movement and see their prey with great accuracy. While they may be sensitive to bright light, it does not cause them to become blind. **

Praying while yawning is not considered disrespectful or inappropriate in most religious traditions. Yawning is a natural bodily function and does not detract from the sincerity of one's prayers. Ultimately, the most important aspect of prayer is the intention and sincerity behind it, rather than the physical actions that accompany it. **
